Women Beware Women

This show was by far the best show I have ever seen. An incredible tragedy written by Middleton, right around the same time Shakespeare was writing plays. It was absolutely incredible. The set was breath taking (I'll put up some of Heidi's photos soon). The acting, the costuming, the diction of the actors, the set, the creativity, the music... all the best I've seen in London and maybe ever. It was one of the most moving experiences I have ever had while watching a show. If you ever have the chance to see it, go! It is dark, it is sad, it is painful, and it is gorgeous!!!! It was old language, yet the show was set in the fifties, and the music was a jazzy sort of dark music from the twenties to present day. Sounds weird, but it was perfect. I am not doing the show any justice. I can't. Read the script or see the show if you EVER get the chance. Here are some amazing quotes from the script.

*"Never were finer snared for women's honesties than are devised in these days; no spider's wed made of a daintier thread than are now practiced to catch love's fresh-fly by the silver wing."
*"Sin tastes, at the first draught, like worm wood water. But drunk again, 'tis nectar ever after."
*"Greed is stronger than love."
*"Why should my love last longer than his truth?"
*"Dare you sleep for fear of never walking?"
*Lost and sinfulness has come upon and left us with nothing."
